ABOUT THE ONDEMAND WEBINAR

Vying for an agent's attention when you are just one of many emails in their inbox can be a daunting task. The first step is getting noticed with your query letter and then following it up with sample pages that will make them hungry for more. Sounds easy enough, but the question remains - how do you do it?

Kimberly Brower has several clients who write romance, women's fiction and thrillers some of whom she has found through queries. Almost all of them have gone on to sign publishing deals as a result of that first query and sample chapters. In this presentation, she gives you important tips to consider while writing your query and suggestions to help make you stand out amongst the masses.

Finding an agent who you connect with and understands your writing is one of the most important steps on your path to getting your novel published. And it all starts with a query.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

  • Finding the right agents to query
  • The importance of knowing the agent you're querying
  • Ways you can get an agent's attention in a query
  • What to say and not to say in a query
  • Things to think about when writing and sending your sample pages
  • How to know when to cut off your sample pages
  • What your sample pages should accomplishThe do's and don'ts of a query

INSTRUCTOR:

Kimberly represents a wide range of commercial and literary authors, particularly those who write contemporary romance, women's fiction, thrillers and young adult. Her clients are New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today and Amazon best selling authors, who are both traditionally and self-published. Although she loves all things romance, she is also searching for books that are different and will surprise her, with empathetic characters and compelling stories.

She graduated with a business degree from California State University, Northridge and a law degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. She is originally from New Jersey, but is happy to be back on the east coast, living in New York City.

Just lovely
Size: 8.5" x 5.8" x 1.9", Color: Orange
Purchased this several months ago and liked it, but I had received so many complements on this tray since then I had to submit this review. The tray is sturdy and put together well, and the size is exactly what was given before purchase.

Color looks great, material is good quality and fits most of my items. It makes my items look neat and organized. Price is a bit high but worth it in my opinion.
