ABOUT THE ONDEMAND WEBINAR
Vying for an agent's attention when you are just one of many emails in their inbox can be a daunting task. The first step is getting noticed with your query letter and then following it up with sample pages that will make them hungry for more. Sounds easy enough, but the question remains - how do you do it?
Kimberly Brower has several clients who write romance, women's fiction and thrillers some of whom she has found through queries. Almost all of them have gone on to sign publishing deals as a result of that first query and sample chapters. In this presentation, she gives you important tips to consider while writing your query and suggestions to help make you stand out amongst the masses.
Finding an agent who you connect with and understands your writing is one of the most important steps on your path to getting your novel published. And it all starts with a query.

- Finding the right agents to query
- The importance of knowing the agent you're querying
- Ways you can get an agent's attention in a query
- What to say and not to say in a query
- Things to think about when writing and sending your sample pages
- How to know when to cut off your sample pages
- What your sample pages should accomplishThe do's and don'ts of a query
