So often we title our pieces with cheeky references to songs, lyrics, movies that offer a feeling we love connecting to the piece, but aren't necessarily directly related to the concept behind its design.

But this one truly was designed thinking about Nico's beautiful rendition of "I'll be your mirror" with the Velvet Underground, first released July 1966; and maybe thinking even more about the version of the same song from Nico's unplugged and haunting performance at Le Bataclan in Paris in 1972 (both very much worth a listen if you don't know them, or if you could use some reminding).

It's a song about loving someone so much you wish more than anything that you could let them into your mind and your heart for a minute so that they could see themselves the way that you see them. And our ode to the song is about doing that powerful, miraculous thing for yourself; loving yourself enough to remind yourself how beautiful you are, and trusting yourself enough to really let that in. 

Two unique, unusual and powerful stones are placed edge-to-edge and outlined in platinum. A portrait cut light blue sapphire and a portrait-step-brilliant cut diamond. They follow the curve of your finger. They reflect back at your skin, they reflect one another. We kept it simple so it could fit something big inside.
