The front is an upcycled underprint in copper rain a warm sandy peach and golden amber ground with a fine all over botanical print in muted blue, teal and sage green, delicate leaves and botanical sprigs layered densely across the surface through 8 to 12 rounds of hand woodblock printing

Worked entirely by hand, this quilt is stitched through layers using rows of running stitch drawn across the full surface - the defining mark of the kantha tradition. The front is an upcycled underprint in copper rain - a warm sandy peach and golden amber ground with a fine all-over botanical print in muted blue, teal and sage green, delicate leaves and botanical sprigs layered densely across the surface through 8 to 12 rounds of hand woodblock printing across a month of production. A distinct vertical panel runs head to foot in a warmer copper-amber tone, the same botanical motifs shifting in warmth and depth as the layers build and thin. Where the printings overlap, the teal deepens; where they thin, the warm copper ground glows through. No two printings land the same way twice; this piece is entirely unrepeatable. Edition of one. The edges are finished with a fine hand blanket stitch - small, precise, and quietly present.

The reverse is a wide-width blue iris linen-cotton blend - deep, inky and moody - with the kantha running stitch visible on both sides, tracing the same quiet rhythm across the cloth.
