In 1997 stapte vader René uit de lokale coöperatie en begon het domein dat tegenwoordig dus door zijn kinderen wordt gerund. Hier gaan de dingen anders dan anders en tegelijkertijd ook weer helemaal niet. Waar Châteauneuf bekend staat om zijn mooie foto’s van wijngaarden met grote rolkeien zijn de wijngaarden hier vooral bedekt met zand. Precies hetgeen waar cultbuurman Château Rayas beroemd om is.

Beschrijving: Gerijpt op beton, door de steeltjes mee te persen krijgt de wijn een 'hout smaak', maar is ook verfijnd, fris zacht en rond.

Lekker bij: Kreeft, vette vis, maar bij de BBQ doet hij het ook goed.

Leuk weetje: De naam Courtedune is een samentrekking van het dorp Courthézon en dune, zandduin, verwijzend naar het terroir.
