En alsof het allemaal nog niet erg genoeg was, werd de menselijke crisis gretig misbruikt om een regering op poten te zetten die bijna niemand wil.

In dit land overleden 10.000 mensen door het virus. Onnodig veel mensenlevens gingen verloren in ziekenhuizen en woonzorgcentra. Het is essentieel dat de fouten en tekortkomingen grondig worden onderzocht. Tot op het bot. In een onderzoekscommissie die onderzoeksdaden kan verrichten en de betrokkenen kan ondervragen. Zodat de in dit boek beschreven blunders zich nooit meer kunnen herhalen.

It is worth purchasing a Protection Plan on an unfamiliar item
Bought a 3-year protection plan for a nut milk maker machine for $5.99. It was a fairly new kitchen item in our household and we were not familiar with the brand. So, I bought the plan for a piece (peace) of mind. The machine worked nicely for about 18-20 months with daily use until it tripped the circuit outlet. My initial chat with Asurion did not go as I expected due to discrepancy on their end as they see a protection plan for the nut milk maker as a sporting goods valued between $100-$199, not as a kitchen item valued between $30-$39.99. ( I had bought 3 different protection plan on th same day for multiple items purchased on Prime Days). They were looking at a different plan and I was unable to get them to "scroll over" to the appropriate protection plan. I tried again on a different day during the first hour of their contact hours and had a cheerful Asurion agent who was able to find the appropriate kitchen item protection plan. It was a simple and thorough conversation and transaction. I was refunded within hours after I packed up and dropped off the damaged item out to UPS. Moral of the story: Asurion Protection Plan is worth it and contact them at the start of their first day shift, not at the end of their evening shift.
