Cosentino Winery staat bekend om volle, klassieke Californische wijnen met balans en souplesse. The Zin is hun iconische Zinfandel uit Lodi, gemaakt om donker fruit en kruidigheid te laten spreken zonder zwaar te worden. Een herkenbare stijl voor liefhebbers van karaktervol rood met een zachte textuur.

Wijngaarden en regio

De druiven komen uit de warme vallei van Lodi in Californië, een gebied dat rijp, donker fruit en kruidigheid naar voren brengt in Zinfandel. De combinatie van veel zon en verkoelende avondbries zorgt voor concentratie met voldoende frisheid.

Vinificatie en rijping

Hoe lang rijpt deze Zinfandel op eiken? 13 maanden, op een mix van Frans en Amerikaans eiken, voor ronde tannines en een subtiele vanillekruidigheid die het fruit ondersteunt. De wijn wordt traditioneel opgevoed en gebotteld op 75 cl.

100% Zinfandel, een Californische klassieker die bekendstaat om veel donker fruit, kruidigheid en een volle stijl.

Proefnotities en serveertips

Diep paarsrood. In de geur pruimen, bramen, frambozen en speculaaskruiden. De smaak is vol en kruidig met gestoofd donker fruit, een hint rook en een stevige structuur. Serveer op 16–18 °C. Uitstekend bij spareribs van de barbecue en andere gegrilde gerechten. Alcohol 14,8%.
