De 3mm dikte is de balans tussen warmte en gevoel. Dunner (1.5mm) geeft meer gevoel maar minder warmte, dikker (5mm) houdt je handen warmer maar je voelt minder. Voor de meeste winterdagen op de Noordzee is 3mm de gulden middenweg.

Pasvorm

De handschoen sluit aan bij de pols zodat er weinig koud water in spoelt. Een vijfvinger-uitvoering, dus je houdt losse vingers voor grip op je trapeze, boom of board.

Wanneer gebruik je hem?

Vanaf het moment dat het water richting de 10°C en lager zakt, grofweg van het late najaar tot in het voorjaar. Bij echt strenge kou kun je naar de 5mm of de Lobster-uitvoering.
