Deze klassieke, met de hand gehamerde klankschaal ontvouwt een eigen, bijzondere klank die uitnodigt tot verstilling. De warme tonen dragen een rustgevende sfeer, perfect om ruimte te maken voor jouw rituele momenten.

De schaal is gemaakt van een combinatie van acht (edel)metalen: koper, tin, nikkel, zink, ijzer, lood, zilver en kwik. De unieke verhouding van deze metalen, samen met de diameter en dikte van de schaal, bepaalt de specifieke toon en boventonen. Zo is elke klankschaal werkelijk uniek en draagt zij haar eigen klankrijkdom.

Uitgebreide beschrijving

Het maken van deze gehamerde klankschaal is een ambachtelijk proces dat volledig met de hand wordt uitgevoerd. Elke schaal wordt zorgvuldig gevormd door ervaren vaklieden die meerdere stadia doorlopen om een zuivere, heldere klank te bereiken.

Voor het smeedproces worden de verschillende metalen gesmolten, waarbij koper en tin de basis vormen van het brons. Kleine hoeveelheden van de andere metalen worden toegevoegd om de rijkdom van het geluid te beïnvloeden. Het gesmolten metaal wordt in vormen gegoten en in diverse schijven gesneden, die verschillen in diameter en dikte voor de gewenste klank.

Deze schijven worden vervolgens in lagen opgestapeld en roodgloeiend verhit. Pas als het metaal roodgloeiend is, wordt het met de hand in komvorm gehamerd. Dit hamerproces vraagt veel aandacht, want het metaal mag niet te snel afkoelen om breuk te voorkomen. Zo krijgt de schaal haar grove vorm en gewicht.

Daarna volgt het fijne werk: de schaal wordt opnieuw heet gemaakt en met precisie gehamerd om de juiste vorm en klank te verkrijgen. Tot slot worden de buiten- en binnenkant geschuurd, gepolijst en soms met zorg bewerkt met beitels, zodat iedere schaal haar eigen, subtiele karakter krijgt.

Let op: de klankschalen worden verkocht op basis van gewicht. De vermelde diameter is een indicatie en kan per schaal variëren.

Game changer!!
This stuff is amazing! I bought it because there was somewhat of a trend online saying glycolic acid is great for girls with sensitive skin. I’m inclined to agree because I have very dry, sensitive skin and this product works very well on my face and my legs (post shave). This is meant to lightly exfoliate the skin, so if you’ve just shaved your face or skin, a day later, this is great to put on to help prevent any irritation. Also, this is good for dry skin! When I have some dry patches on my face, I buff the dead skin off very gently but thoroughly. Then I use this toner to help prevent it from coming back. I was skeptical this would work because my skin is so extremely dry sometimes, but it really works! It was perfect for doing my makeup with. I use it every once in a while if I need any extra exfoliating. Do bear in mind, though, it smells really bad. I think it’s the witch hazel or something, but the product by itself smells quite gross. Definitely put lotion on a few minutes after it absorbs into the skin. This is a great product and I’m very happy with it. 10/10 when used wisely.

I am NOT saying this is a "dupe" or that they are the same in any way because they definitely have different ingredient profiles... so don't come for me... But what I will say is that if you like the first aid beauty radiance pads but don't like the price tag then this may be a cheaper option for you. The Thayers is a little stronger of an exfoliant so if you have sensitive or dry skin do a patch test to see how your skin handles it. I use it in the morning after I wash my face. I have cotton tissues that are smooth on 1 side and textured on the other that I use instead of cotton rounds. I pair it with the Thayers milky toner, maybe some other hydrating toners, a serum, a gel moisturizer and always SPF and even without makeup my skin looks amazing and healthy all day. This is also a 12oz bottle and lasts a long time because you don't need to use a lot for it to do it's job.
