Over het algemeen zijn de wijnstokken vijftien jaar jonger dan van de grote broer en zijn de opbrengst vele malen lager, waardoor de Chapelle ook nog eens schaarser is. 

Beschrijving: Rijp rood fruit, floraal, mineraal, vol, rond, ook wel frisheid met rijke aroma's.

Lekker bij: Rundvlees, lam, wildzwijn.

Leuk weetje: Met slechts 7 hectare is Chateau Ausone verreweg het kleinste domein van alle Premier Crus, dat maakt dat deze iconische Saint-Émilion ook zeer schaars is.
