Combining 12G‑SDI, HDMI 2.0b, analog component and composite video connectivity, the device supports every major SD, HD, UHD and 4K DCI format up to 60 frames per second. Its advanced processing engine delivers 8‑ and 10‑bit HDR capture in all supported formats up to 4K DCI 60p, and full 12‑bit HDR capture up to 4K DCI 30p, ensuring exceptional dynamic range and pristine color for grading, finishing and live broadcast applications.
The front‑panel design includes a bright LCD screen for signal preview and device configuration, along with easily accessible controls, an XLR microphone input with switchable 48V phantom power and a dedicated headphone output for precise audio monitoring. With its built‑in SD card reader, UltraStudio 4K Mini allows immediate access to camera media directly from the workstation, making it ideal for fast‑turnaround editing and on‑set post workflows. Thunderbolt 3 connectivity provides up to 40 Gb/s of bandwidth for real‑time uncompressed video, while also supplying 45 W charging to compatible laptops for streamlined mobile production setups.
UltraStudio 4K Mini offers a comprehensive audio interface with embedded SDI and HDMI audio, balanced analog audio I/O via quarter‑inch connectors and a microphone port for professional dialogue or voiceover capture. It supports RS‑422 deck control, enabling precise ingest from broadcast decks and automated batch capture. With compatibility across macOS, Windows and Linux, the device works seamlessly with leading creative applications including DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, Fusion and many live and graphics applications.
