Not A Perfume van Juliette Has a Gun is eigenlijk geen parfum, zoals de naam al zegt. Het is een geur die bestaat uit één ingrediënt: ambroxan (ook cetalox genoemd). Ambroxan is een synthetische geurstof, afgeleid van het schaarse en kostbare ambergris.

Alle parfums van Juliette has a gun worden ontwikkeld door Romano Ricci. Na jarenlange ervaring met de beste parfumeurs en een samenwerking met Francis Kurkdjian, verspreidde Juliette has a gun's invloed zich razendsnel van New York tot Moskou.
