Bovendien voorkomt het dat stof en ander vuil zich ophoopt op het meubilair. Een goed vastgedraaide afdekking (zodat er geen water op achterblijft) voorkomt dat het meubilair gevoelig wordt voor de vorming van lelijke afzettingen, roest van metalen elementen en vernietiging van vernis en andere coatings die de apparaten bedekken. Vooral voor meubels die te zwaar zijn om in de winter in de garage te staan, is een hoes essentieel. Het voordeel van onze hoes is de bescherming tegen UV-straling, hierdoor verkleuren de meubels niet. Tot de voordelen behoort ook de vorstbestendigheid van de stof.
