Het prachtige geïllustreerde boek "Philip Glass - Dots on Paper" van Andreas H. Bitesnich gaat over het leven en werk van de beroemde pianist. Hij is een van de belangrijkste pioniers van de Amerikaanse minimal music en componeerde de filmmuziek voor bekende films als "The Illusionist", "The Truman Show", "Fantastic Four" en "Cassandra's Dream".

In 2010 ontmoette de Oostenrijkse fotograaf Bitesnich de componist Philip Glass samen met de dirigent en oude vriend Dennis Russel Davies en was meteen gefascineerd door de muzikant. Er ontstaat een hechte vriendschap tussen de drie. Vijf jaar lang vergezelde hij de componist op concerten en tournees en legde deze reizen en optredens vast in zijn foto's. In deze periode was hij ook te gast in Glass' privéwoning in New York en mocht hij de componist fotograferen in zijn meest intieme omgeving.

Het resultaat is een intiem portret van Philip Glass als musicus, dat nu beschikbaar is voor al zijn bewonderaars in dit unieke koffietafelboek van teNeues. The right tool for the job.

This is the tool you want. It is exceptionally functional, well made (made in the USA, if that matters to you), and beautiful in the way that quality tools are. The thing that really sets this tool apart is that it correctly balances form vs. function: a heavy duty build (as is the point when buying a bottle opener built by a tool company) without its use as a bottle opener (as is the point when buying ANY bottle opener) being negatively impacted by said build. I also bought the Craftsman bottle cap wrench, which, in my opinion, is hugely successful as feeling like a heavy duty tool and something of a failure as a bottle opener. It's so large and heavy, it has equal mass to the bottle you're opening. Imagine your buddy who has had one too many wielding a 12 oz. steel wrench over your tile floor, countertop, toes, etc. and you'll get the idea. Lastly, the engraving and materials on this Klein tool are so attractive I had to build it a custom wall mount instead of hiding it away in a drawer or tool chest. I will be buying a second for the office.

The bottle opener sticks out at a slight angle. This does not affect the performance, but it does detract from the novelty somewhat.
