ODIN Works · Southern Idaho — 100% USA Made
✓ 100% USA Made ✓ Odin Works ✓ Under $100 ✓ FRT & Super Safety Specific ✓ All-In-One System

Every FRT and Super Safety build has the same requirement — you need a heavy buffer. H2 minimum, H3 recommended. Sourcing the right buffer, then finding a tube that's actually matched to it, has always meant piecing together components from multiple places. The Odin Works HFRT ends that. This is an all-in-one buffer and buffer tube system engineered specifically for forced reset trigger and Super Safety builds — correct weight, correct tube, one product, under $100. Made by Odin Works in Southern Idaho. 100% USA.

🎯
Purpose-Built for FRTs and Super Safeties

The HFRT is not a standard buffer repackaged for FRT use. The buffer weight, tube geometry, and spring rate are engineered together as one system calibrated for the specific cycling demands of forced reset triggers and Super Safeties. Install it and run — no weight guessing, no compatibility questions.

Overview

  • All-in-one system — buffer and buffer tube engineered together, not two parts from different sources
  • Purpose-built for FRTs and Super Safeties — replaces the need for any separate heavy buffer on any forced reset build
  • Correct buffer weight built in — engineered around H2–H3 range for FRT reset timing. No guesswork.
  • Compatible with all FRTs and Super Safeties — Disruptor, LAT, ARC-Fire V2, Hoffman Super Safety, and any mil-spec AR-15 forced reset system
  • 100% USA made — Odin Works, Southern Idaho
  • Under $100 — the most accessible purpose-built FRT buffer system on the market
  • Drop-in install — installs like any standard buffer and tube. No special tools, no modification.
  • AR-15 mil-spec platform — compatible with all standard mil-spec lower receivers
Why Buffer Weight Is the #1 FRT Setup Problem

A standard carbine buffer (~3 oz) cycles too fast for any FRT or Super Safety to reset reliably. The bolt carrier returns to battery before the forced reset mechanism has time to engage. Result: failures to reset, short-stroke symptoms, and inconsistent cycling — all blamed on the trigger when the buffer is the actual problem. H2 (4.6 oz) is the minimum. H3 (5.4 oz) is the recommended sweet spot for carbine-length builds. The HFRT is built around this range — it's the correct weight from day one, matched to a tube engineered to handle FRT cycling loads.

Compatible With Every FRT and Super Safety We Carry

The Triggered Company Disruptor FRT
Requires H2 min / H3 recommended — HFRT covers this. The buffer pairing every Disruptor build should have. Shop Disruptor →
Triggered Company Disruptor Ambi
Same buffer requirement as the standard Disruptor — H2 min, H3 recommended. HFRT is the correct pairing.
Triggered Company LAT Trigger
Same drop-in cassette architecture as the Disruptor. Same buffer requirement. Same HFRT pairing.
AS Designs ARC-Fire V2
Selector-based forced reset system — BCG cycling is still the mechanism. H2+ required. HFRT compatible across all ARC-Fire configurations. Shop ARC-Fire V2 →
Hoffman Tactical Super Safety
Super Safeties are the most buffer-sensitive forced reset systems on the market — selector cam timing depends entirely on consistent BCG cycling. The HFRT removes the buffer as a variable entirely.
Any Mil-Spec AR-15 FRT or Super Safety
The HFRT is a universal system for the AR-15 mil-spec platform — not tied to any specific trigger product. Any current or future FRT or Super Safety on a standard mil-spec lower will benefit from this system.

Why Odin Works — Southern Idaho, 100% USA

Odin Works is one of the most respected AR-15 component manufacturers in the country — based in Southern Idaho, building everything in the USA. Their adjustable buffer system is already one of the most-used aftermarket buffers in the AR community. The HFRT is purpose-built by a team that has been manufacturing precision buffer systems long enough to know exactly what FRT cycling demands from a buffer and tube. This isn't a generic buffer with a new label. It's a dedicated product from a manufacturer with real credentials.

Build the Complete FRT Setup

Pair the HFRT with the Triggered Company Disruptor for a complete, correctly-buffered forced reset build. Add an M16-profile BCG and you have everything you need — trigger, cycling, and buffer — matched and ready to run.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I still need a separate H2 or H3 buffer if I buy the HFRT?
No. That's the point of the HFRT — the correct buffer weight for FRT and Super Safety cycling is built into the system. You do not need to source a separate H2, H2.5, or H3 buffer. One product handles everything.
Will this work with the Triggered Company Disruptor?
Yes — it's the buffer system we recommend for every Disruptor build. The Disruptor requires H2 minimum and H3 recommended for carbine-length builds. The HFRT is engineered around this range and is a direct drop-in pairing with the Disruptor.
Does it work with Super Safeties?
Yes — and Super Safeties arguably benefit more from the HFRT than full FRT cassette systems do. Super Safety operation is extremely buffer-sensitive because the selector cam timing relies on precise BCG cycling. The HFRT's controlled buffer weight removes this variable completely.
Is this compatible with the ARC-Fire V2?
Yes. The ARC-Fire V2 is a selector-based forced reset system that requires H2+ buffer weight for consistent BCG cycling. The HFRT is fully compatible across all ARC-Fire V2 configurations.
How does it install?
Same as any standard buffer and tube system — remove the existing buffer and tube from your lower, install the HFRT. No special tools, no modification to the lower receiver. If you've installed a buffer and tube before, this is the same process.
Why is it under $100?
Odin Works built this to be the standard starting point for every FRT and Super Safety build — not a premium add-on. A purpose-built, USA-made, integrated FRT buffer system under $100 didn't exist before the HFRT. Now it does.

Gorgeous 😍

Absolutely beautiful!!! It is thick and luxurious, super soft and cozy. It’s really high quality and it shows. You can tell it’s natural without the burn test even from its cute little curls. All brushed (your pet brush is perfect 😉) out it looks stunning and fluffy. I got the champagne color and I love it! I don’t see any seams on the double pelt and it is substantial, not at all like it will disintegrate in a few years, but rather will become a much loved family heirloom. Well worth the investment! It is absolutely heavenly to perform yoga on by the fire 😌I love taking my slippers off and feeling the soft fur. I don’t want to get off it lol. I understand all those other customer’s kids and cats 🤣😂🤣

This is the one you want...

I bought a ‘Genuine Sheepskin Rug Double Pelt Natural White Fur 2x6’ from Amazon in 2011 for $112.49, and recently decided to recommission it in my new living room. It looked so nice that I decided to add a second rug, and was pleased to find what Amazon claimed to be the same rug still available for only $83.78. Now I’m not one of those silly folks who expects the color and/or size of a natural product like a sheepskin rug to be perfectly predictable, and my living room is large enough that I didn’t need the two rugs to match perfectly, but when the new rug arrived, I couldn’t have been more disappointed. It was about 40% smaller than my older rug, was way, way off from anything that could be called white, and looked cheap, old, and tattered. I tried to comb it out a bit to see if I could make it look presentable, but it was a lost cause. Amazon to the rescue. I returned the rug to Amazon for a full refund the next morning, and the transaction couldn’t have been simpler. And I immediately ordered the ‘Genuine Sheepskin Rug Double Pelt Natural White Fur 2x6’ shown on this page from Super Area Rugs for $119.00. What a difference! These rugs are large, plush, and super soft. The quality of these rugs is obvious, much, much nicer that either my old sheepskin rug or the ‘bargain’ rug I returned to Amazon. I was so impressed with the quality of this rug that I immediately ordered a second, which arrived this morning (it matches the other rug perfectly). My older sheepskin has been reassigned to another room because, well, it’s not in the same league as my two new rugs, which look terrific together. As is so often the case, you get what you pay for. So if you’re looking for a top quality sheepskin rug, this is the one you want.

Very nice fleeces
This is a clean, soft, well groomed fleece intended for use on a 6 foot long sofa, so bought 2. They moved too much as a result of shifting bodies on the leather couch, so will get a longer version, sewn bottom to bottom, and used each of these fleeces on both armrests, instead.

Excellent Product!!! Will purchase again!
Size: 2' x 3' (Natural), Color: Wolf Tipped
Instead of ordering a cover for reclining loveseats, I chose to drape one of these over the headrest on either end of our loveseat. Not only do they protect the leather, they also help to elevate our decor. The rugs were received in a very timely manner. They are super soft, & warming as we move into the winter months. We've had family & friends comment on how great they look. 2 of them have already ordered, & added them to their sofa/loveseat/recliner decor. Have an issue of them slipping, add some velcro in between the crook of the cushion & the back of the furniture piece. It doesn't show & will help to keep the rug in place; if your busy body.!

Perfect for sensory sensitive kids and for the pure beauty of it
Size: 2' x 6' (Natural), Color: Natural (Yellow Undertones), Size: 2' x 6' (Natural), Color: Natural (Yellow Undertones)
After speaking over the phone with the seller, I was confident in this purchase for my SPD son. They do not use harsh chemicals or dyes in the process. It is from New Zealand and the only use in Vietnam is for shipping. My son hasn't been diagnosed yet for Autism but he is in the process. He is super sensitive to all things sensory and Amazon feedback isn't the place to give specific details on his condition but I will write that when he fist touched it- which was willingly- he smiled and asked to sleep on it. When he laid down on it and I covered him- he was calm and smiling. In the pic I provided he is calm and holding his door (his obsession is doors and windows). He even set his door down to hold the fur. For other mommies and papas with spd/autistic kids you know that willingly touching a new fabric and setting down an obsessive item is huge and super encouraging! I am so grateful to have such a quality item that is affordable for my special needs son. His older sister received one as well as is now pretending to be a sheep. Fun for everyone! The ONLY negative is that the brand/info sticker on the pelt was a pain to get off and pulled some of the felt - not damaging it but blemishing the unity -but if the skin is down it will not be noticeable. A super fun detail is that all of the fur is combed out but there were a few strands that were wavy and had a slight curl- I LOVED that. There was no odor at all which is great! I expected an animal smell which is better than chlorine or dioxin which is what competitors use in their process. There is no noticeable seam in the middle on the top where the two pelts are gathered. I am soooo satisfied!
