Handmade Damascus Folding Knife with Green Honeycomb Handle

This Damascus folding knife opens with a solid click and sits balanced in your palm, 7.5 inches of layered steel ready for a day on the trail or at the workbench. Run a thumbnail across the flat and you feel the etched pattern in the steel. The green honeycomb inlay and hand-engraved metal bolsters make it look as good on a desk as it performs in a pocket.

The Blade

The blade is hand-forged from Damascus steel and measures 3.5 inches. It is heat-treated to 59-60 HRC on the Rockwell scale. At that hardness, the edge stays sharp through repeated cuts in camp or field use and resharpens cleanly on a whetstone. The acid-etched finish reveals the layered pattern that is unique to each hand-forged piece. No two blades look identical.

The Handle

The 4-inch handle carries a green honeycomb inlay set into hand-engraved metal bolsters. The honeycomb texture gives your fingers something to grip whether you are bare-handed or wearing gloves in the cold. The engraved bolsters add solid weight to the front of the handle and keep the knife from feeling hollow or light.

The Build

The liner lock holds the blade open under hard use and releases cleanly with a thumb press. Balance point sits just ahead of the pivot, which is natural and comfortable for a folding knife at this size. The mechanism is built for repeated daily use. A liner lock is the right choice here because it keeps the blade secure without adding bulk to the handle.

The Sheath

The knife ships with a hand-stitched genuine leather sheath. The sheath is saddle-brown with visible stitching and a snap closure. It sits flat on a belt or tucks into a pack pocket. The leather is formed to the closed knife so the fit is snug and the draw is clean.

Real-World Use

The 3.5-inch blade handles camp tasks cleanly: trimming cordage, breaking down kindling, slicing food on a trail lunch break. The liner lock and compact overall length make it a capable everyday carry for a hunter who needs a utility blade between shots in the field. A collector who actually carries will value the fact that the Damascus pattern on their knife belongs to no other piece in the world. Hand-forged steel takes more time at the anvil than a stamped blade, and that extra work shows up in edge geometry and grain structure that a machine cannot replicate.

Who Is This For

  • The deer hunter who needs a sharp, lockable utility folder for field dressing and camp chores, and wants a blade that holds an edge through a full season.

  • The everyday carry enthusiast who wants a Damascus pocket knife with a distinctive handle that starts conversations without sacrificing function.

  • The backcountry camper who needs a compact, liner-locked blade for trail tasks from food prep to rope work and wants it to fit in a jacket pocket.

  • The gift-giver who needs a handmade Damascus knife that arrives ready to impress on Father's Day, Christmas, or a groomsman presentation.

How to Use It

Hold the handle with four fingers on the honeycomb inlay and your thumb resting on the spine near the pivot. Open the blade fully until the liner lock clicks into place before applying any pressure. Cut with the forward third of the blade for detail work and draw through material in one smooth stroke rather than sawing. Disengage the liner lock with your thumb before folding the blade. Never close the knife against resistance.

How to Care for It

After Every Use

  • Hand wash the blade and handle in warm water with a drop of mild dish soap.

  • Dry immediately and completely with a soft cloth. Do not let water sit on the blade.

  • Never put this knife in a dishwasher. The heat and detergent will strip the etch and damage the handle.

Every Few Weeks

  • Apply a thin coat of food-safe mineral oil to the blade with a soft cloth.

  • Wipe off any excess so the blade is not greasy to the touch.

Storage

  • Store the knife in the included leather sheath in a dry location.

  • Avoid sealed plastic bags or airtight containers, which trap moisture and promote rust.

Sharpening

  • Use a whetstone or fine ceramic rod to sharpen. Maintain the original bevel angle throughout.

  • Work from heel to tip in smooth, even strokes at a consistent angle.

  • Finish by stropping on leather to remove the burr and refine the edge.

FAQs

Is this knife handmade?

Yes. Each knife is individually hand-forged using traditional forging and finishing methods. No two knives look exactly alike because the Damascus pattern forms differently every time.

What does 59-60 HRC mean for a blade?

HRC measures steel hardness on the Rockwell scale. At 59-60 HRC, this blade holds a sharp edge through regular field and camp use and can be restored on a whetstone or ceramic rod when it dulls.

Is this knife suitable for everyday carry?

Yes. The liner lock, 3.5-inch blade, and 7.5-inch overall length make it a capable daily carry. Review your state and local knife carry laws before taking it out of the house.

Does a sheath come with the knife?

Yes. Every knife ships with a hand-stitched genuine leather sheath with a snap closure.

Is Damascus steel legal in the United States?

Damascus steel knives are legal to own in all 50 states. Carry laws vary by state and municipality, so check your local regulations before carrying.

Can I sharpen this blade at home?

Yes. Use a whetstone or a fine ceramic rod. Maintain the original bevel angle and work from heel to tip in smooth strokes. Finish on a leather strop to refine the edge.

Will my knife look exactly like the photos?

No. Each knife is hand-forged, so the Damascus pattern, handle tone, and bolster finish will have natural variations. That variation is part of what makes each piece unique.

Is this a good gift for a knife collector?

Yes. The unique Damascus pattern, green honeycomb handle, and leather sheath make a strong impression. Each knife is individually crafted, which matters to a collector who values originality.

A Gift Worth Giving

Cool, lightweight, and surprisingly comfortable!
I absolutely love this cooling comforter! The first thing I noticed is how lightweight it is. It comes in at just over 3 pounds, so it’s not thick or bulky at all, which I really appreciate. It feels easy to move around and doesn’t weigh you down while you’re sleeping. I chose the queen size in dark gray. It’s reversible, which is such a nice bonus. One side has a simple white stripe pattern that gives it a little personality, and the other side is a solid gray. The solid gray side is the cooling side, and oh my goodness, it feels so silky and smooth to the touch. That cool-to-the-touch feeling is really noticeable when you first get under it. I didn’t have any issues with it sliding off the bed, but I’ll mention that I don’t toss and turn a lot at night, so that may be part of it. If you’re someone who moves around more, your experience might be a little different. As far as washing goes, I did notice a small inconsistency. The product description recommends hanging it to dry, but the tag on the comforter says it can be machine washed and dried. I’m going to go ahead and follow the tag instructions and tumble dry it. I’ll definitely come back and update if I notice any issues after machine drying it. I live in the South and right now our weather is actually pretty mild so it’s a little hard to say just how much of the cooling effect is from the blanket versus the temperature in the house. That said, I do feel like it’s helping. I haven’t been waking up hot and the fabric itself definitely feels cool and breathable so I’m excited to see how it performs when the real heat kicks in. I’m also really pleased with the overall quality. The stitching looks clean, there are no loose threads and everything feels well made and thoughtfully put together. It gives me confidence that it will hold up nicely over time. This doesn’t affect my rating, but I do wish there were more color or pattern options to choose from. It would be fun to have a few more styles, especially since it’s such a nice-looking comforter. 5 stars for its lightweight feel, silky cooling fabric, and solid, well-made construction.

This is a great blanket for those who prefer to be cool all night.
This is a great blanket for those who prefer to be slightly cooler all night. I have been using this for almost two months now. It's been difficult to figure out how to explain it's use. Ultimately I have figured out that it acts like a blanket, insulating and keeping you warm, however, wherever the blanket is actually resting on your skin stays cool. It took me a while to figure it out. How does an insulating blanket cool you? I'm not sure how the material actually works, but that is what it does, at least for slightly cool interior weather with a bit of humidity. I imagine in the desert it may work differently. I would say nights when a sheet may be too cold or thin, and a blanket way too hot, this is the in between. The material itself is soft and almost silky. It is made well, has a pleasant appearance on the bed, and doesn't wrinkle. So getting up in the morning it is easy to toss and make the bed. It breathes unlike a duvet cover and feather blanket, so no need to air it out so much. I have come to really love it and recommend it for anyone looking for an in between, between a sheet and comforter. I have never woken up sweating or pulling it off at night. My only experience was at first thinking I was cold but learning that I was not, only where my skin was in contact! For the quality and price, it is definitely worth giving it a try!
