Hosted by comedian actor Paul Lynde (“Bewitched”, “Hollywood Squares”) the show featured guest stars Margaret Hamilton (The Wicked Witch of the West from “The Wizard of Oz”), Billie Hayes (Witchiepoo from “H.R. Pufnstuf”), Tim Conway (“The Carol Burnett Show”), Roz Kelly (“Happy Days”), Florence Henderson (“The Brady Bunch”), rock band KISS, Billy Barty, Betty White and (in an unbilled surprise appearance) Donny Osmond and Marie Osmond.
NOTE: This special aired only once on ABC and is considered by some to be the Holy Grail of KISS collectibles – it was their first prime-time television appearance – performing three songs: “Beth,” “King of the Nighttime World” and “Detroit Rock City.” Bonus material includes an extensive audio reminiscence of Paul Lynde by Peter Marshall, host of “Hollywood Squares,” accompanied by a photographic montage.
