FeedRite Leisure Mix is an oat free feed designed to meet the nutritional requirements of horses in light to moderate work.It is also suitable for spelling horses.
FeedRite Leisure Mix contains steamed rolled and extruded grains to maximise digestibility and palatability. It also contains heat treated rice bran which is a rich source of vitamins, essential fatty acids (oils) and phosphorus.
Suggested Feeding Rates

300kg / 1.0kg to 2.0 kg / up to 4kg
400kg / 1.5kg to 4.0kg / up to 5kg
500kg / 2.0kg to 5.0kg / up to 6kg
600kg / 3.0kg to 6.0kg / up to 7kg
This diet has been formulated to meet the requirements outlined in the Nutrient Requirements of Horses 6th rev-ed. NRC of the National Academies 2007.
- Introduce FeedRite Leisure Mix gradually over a one to two-week period.
- Adjust feed allowance according to body condition and workload.
- Ensure your horse receives adequate amounts of roughage (an amount of dry roughage equivalents to at least 1% or more of the horse’s bodyweight should be fed daily).
- Make sure your horse has access to fresh clean water.
- Do not supplement your horse’s diet with extra trace minerals, such as selenium, unless instructed to do so by a veterinarian or equine nutritionist.
