The Simms Headwaters Chest Pack puts fishing functionality front and center — literally. Built to divide, conquer, and corral everything you need on the water, this rugged 8-liter chest pack combines a fully featured front workstation with a simplified back storage compartment in one versatile, quick-release system that adapts to however you want to fish.
The durable 630-denier High-Density Oxford Nylon fabric with TPU coated frontside and PU coated backside delivers serious water resistance and abrasion protection that holds up through a full season of hard use. Coated water-resistant YKK Aquaguard zippers keep your gear protected in wet conditions — every zipper, every time.
The fold-out compression-molded workstation is the centerpiece of the Headwaters — giving you a rigid, organized surface for rigging flies, changing tippet, and managing your gear without fumbling through pockets mid-wade. A D-ring and retractor docking station on the side keeps your most-used tools within easy reach at all times.
The back storage compartment is hydration compatible for all-day trips and features an integrated net holder slot to keep your net secure and accessible. When you want to go lighter, the back compartment removes completely — leaving just the chest pack, which connects directly to compatible Simms waders or the Headwaters Backpack via the quick-release design. This modular system gives you the freedom to configure your kit exactly the way you want it for any fishing situation.
