An exceptional antique French sterling silver flatware service for twelve, 70 pieces, by Lappara & Gabriel, 157 Rue du Temple, Paris (active 1902–1923). Beautifully decorated with crossed ribbons, small bows, and bell-flowers throughout. At 3,758 grams (120.82 troy ounces) of .950 silver, this is a substantial and complete service. Storage chest included.
Of note: a monogram "W" graces almost every piece of the set. Eight of the coffee spoons are monogrammed "CV" while four carry the initials "SB." One dessert spoon has no monogram.

French sterling silver, .950. Marked for Lappara & Gabriel (LG), 157 Rue du Temple, Paris (active 1902–1923). Mark used for French export/import.
