I've been crocheting for about 2 years, and it’s grown from a simple hobby into one of my favorite creative outlets. I absolutely love working with bright, bold yarn colors—anything that pops and brings joy! While I specialize in amigurumi (I can’t resist making tiny, adorable creatures), I also enjoy making a good wearable piece when inspiration strikes. Whether it's playful or practical, crochet is my happy place, and I’m always excited to keep learning and sharing along the way.

Beginner’s Crochet Class: Learn to Stitch with Confidence!

 Format:  1 1/2 Hours Per Session

Skill Level: Absolute Beginner

Objective: Learn essential stitches, terms

•Chain Stitch (ch) – Foundation for all crochet

•Repeat – How to follow patterns with repeats

•Single Crochet (sc) – Tight and sturdy, great for dishcloths

•Right Side vs. Wrong Side – Understand orientation as you work

•Turning Chains & Skip Stitches (sk) – Transitioning between rows

 •Half Double Crochet (hdc) – Slightly taller than single crochet

• Double Crochet (dc)-slightly taller than half double crochet

* Treble Crochet (tr) slightly taller than double crochet

*Working in Rounds – Creating circular patterns (great for hats)

• Slip Stitch (sl st) – Joining rounds and finishing neatly

• Spaces – Identifying and working into chain spaces

Hands-On:

• Practice single, half double ,double, treble crochet and slip stitch

• Discuss reading beginner patterns and finishing techniques

Materials (Provided or Bring Your Own):

• Yarn: Cascade Nifty Cotton (available at Creator’s Corner) 15% off

• Hook: Size H/5.0mm or as recommended

• Scissors, tapestry needle, and stitch markers (optional but helpful)
