The 68RFE in the Ram 6.7L Cummins has been around longer than a certain popular touchscreen tablet. In the last 14 years, some of those have been through many owners, towing jobs, stoplight to stoplight pulls, and teaching youngsters how to drive. They've suffered through a lot of heat, and electronic tuning. SunCoast offers a cost-effective solution to revive your drivetrain in your 2007.5-2019 Ram with their Category 1 Transmission. With an approach centered in science and study, this 450HP capable transmission has been built with heavy towing and street driving in mind. Below are some of the highlights of their build. The Torque Converter
The Guardian SunCoast Torque Converter fits 68RFE transmissions and is engineered to handle everyday duties. Towing a camper or hauling dirt to a job site, this torque converter is configured to improve vehicle response and give you years of solid, reliable performance. It comes with furnace-brazed fins and hardened turbine splines. Improving on a common factory failing point, the clutches in this converter are carbon-graphitic for precise and accurate lock-up. While there is an increase the in performance over the factory unit and is a cost-effective solution, this converter is great for heavy duty towing and hauling, however it not intended for racing. Plan accordingly.
The Category Transmissions
The SunCoast Category 68RFE transmissions are designed and developed with the systematic approach to solving the issues with the 68RFE transmission. SunCoast approaches each deficiency and failure point and need from a scientific approach.
The Smart Tech Drum
The 68RFE's factory overdrive clutches are at high risk of failure when towing or installing aftermarket programmers, delete kits, or larger turbos. This is in large part to the fragile and thin (.034) single-sided clutches. When exposed to increased torque or higher temperatures, they will distort, causing additional clearance and uneven pressure application. This will always result in burnt clutches. The clutches in the overdrive housing are by far, reportedly, the weakest link in the 68RFE transmission design.
SunCoast utilizes Sonnax Smart Tech 68RFE overdrive drums to address these issues. The new billet clutch housing holds a physically taller clutch pack, allowing the overdrive clutch area to increase 16%. In addition to the increased application to surface area, the thicker clutches and steels increase clutch steel mass by 28%, drastically improving the heat dissipation and aiding in transmission longevity.
The new 68RFE overdrive clutch drum also comes with a top bolt-on plate to help eliminate clutch pack flexing and distortion that contribute to premature failure.
The 2C Piston
The factory molded piston is prone to uneven application which leads to excessive heat in the clutches and steel leading to premature failure. In the 68RFE Category 1 Transmission, SunCoast replaces the factory piston with a greatly improved billet piece that also allows for an additional clutch further increasing surface supply area.
The Ducenti
SunCoast is proud of its Pro-Loc Ducenti 200psi Shift Calibration Kit for the 68RFE. SunCoast put together a solution after years of continuing research and refinement. In this valve-body, several key issues within this hydraulic circuit were addressed using a multi-faceted approach. The kit includes everything you will need to achieve 200psi without any additional tuning and is designed to be a complete drop-in, resulting in firmer, quicker gear changes aiding further in transmission longevity.
Features and benefits of this shift calibration kit include a new pump half, TCC limit valve, TCC switch valve, five billet three-ring accumulator pistons, billet upgraded valve-body plate, an upgraded heavy duty accumulator plate, and custom-calibrated spring rates for PR circuit.
The Solenoid Pack
Every new SunCoast transmission receives a new OEM solenoid back from Mopar.
Zero Cavitation Filter Kit
The factory 68RFE has had many issues with the pressure relief check valve system in the transmission pan filters. Initially, there were issues with the plastic filter splitting in half. This was later remedied by adding a pressure relief valve on top of the filter. This later proved to be an issue, as the valve would release itself from the filter all together.
The Zero Cavitation Filter Kit is a bottom feed filter kit allowing the usage of a torqueflite filter. This filter conversion will not only prevent pump cavitation, but it will also allow a higher volume of fluid to be passed through the system.

the perfect outdoor solution & very well priced
Color: Lake Blue
This is a beautiful & sturdy umbrella. i had owned a Pier I multi tiered umbrella ($198) and it looked great when I first brought it home, but after one summer, it had faded, the wood swelled to the point where I couldn't get it out of the stand & when the skeleton arm broke, it could NOT be repaired & I paid more than a few carpenters to try. THIS umbrella is a completely different experience from start to finish: well made, lightweight fabric, easy to unpack & popped right into the stand without tiresome effort: no ladders required. It does exactly what it’s supposed to: protects from hot sun & rain, tilts accordingly & I LOVE the deep teal blue that is very soothing in all weather conditions. The price is affordable and I hope it lasts for years. I’m a VERY happy customer!

Easy to use and seems sturdy
Color: Aqua Blue
It’s perfect! Larger than or last one. Easy to set up. Fits in a standard table hole and base. The color is just what the dogs wanted! Everything is always so grey and dull! The turquoise really pops

No customer service for product under warranty
Color: Beige
loved this umbrella for the 4 months we used it. did a lot of research to find an umbrella that would stand up to New England "breezes" -- this one was advertised as wind resistant; bought in June 2025, seemed very sturdy, really nice-looking, used on our patio (installed in the base the recommended base) through the summer; stored indoors for the winter; brought back onto patio a couple weeks ago. On a day with average wind a couple weeks ago, the tilt mechanism broke. Umbrella did not fall over, a gust of wind just forced the tilt mechanism to snap. Spent a lot of time trying to fix it, but it's permanently broken. It's less than a year old so still under warranty, as stated in the materials they sent with the umbrella. Same materials list the email to contact if there are any problems with the product. Have emailed the company, twice now, asking for a refund or replacement. Radio silence. Don't buy this unless you're ok with throwing it away after four or five months of use and being ignored by customer service.
