If you haven't yet pulled your bike apart, bikes that use this kit also use a judder spring in the middle of the clutch pack. The brass rivets that retain it are prone to wearing and coming loose. Rather than replacing it, installing one extra plate and steel is a longstanding mechanical upgrade.
TC Bros. recommends the installation of an extra-plate kit if you wish to make this conversion—the additional friction plate and steel you need are included in that SKU. Learn a little more in our blog about your options if you're replacing a clutch.
