  • Identify an available SFP slot on the switch, router, or optical device. Remove any existing transceiver if needed following the device manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Align the Accortec SFP module with the slot and carefully slide it into place until the latch engages with a click. Do not force the module; proper seating is essential for reliable operation.
  • Attach the fiber optic cable to the LC duplex connector, ensuring the correct polarity and mode for your fiber (MMF or SMF) and that the cable is clean and undamaged. Lightly seat the connector to avoid over-tightening the fibers, which can affect signal integrity.
  • Power up the device and boot into the operating system or network management interface. Verify the transceiver status and link LED indicators, and configure the port as needed in your switch or router. Run basic connectivity tests to confirm a stable link and expected throughput.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is an SFP (mini-GBIC) module? An SFP (small form-factor pluggable) module, sometimes referred to as a mini-GBIC, is a compact transceiver that plugs into a network device’s SFP port to provide fiber optic connectivity. It facilitates flexible, scalable networking by supporting various fiber standards and data rates, while enabling easy hot-swapping and upgrades without replacing entire devices.
  • Is the Accortec SFP module compatible with my switch or router? The module is designed to be compatible with devices that support SFP transceivers following standard MSA (Multi-Source Agreement) specifications. Always verify your device’s vendor compatibility list and confirm the SKU or UPC corresponds to the exact fiber type (MMF/SMF) and data rate required for your network before purchase.
  • What fiber type and connector does this module use? The module uses a standard LC duplex connector for optical fiber. The fiber type (multimode or single-mode) and the specific wavelength or reach depend on the SKU. Check the product specifications or packaging to confirm compatibility with your optical backbone or access links.
  • How do I troubleshoot a link problem with an SFP module? Start by inspecting the LED indicators on the device to verify link status. Good Basic Chair with a Few Drawbacks
Color: Black
I bought this Amazon Basics office task chair for my boyfriend who works from home. Overall, it’s a decent, simple chair that gets the job done for everyday use, especially if you just need something functional and affordable. However, there are a couple of downsides. The recline doesn’t go back as much as he would like, so it’s not ideal if you prefer to lean back and relax between tasks. Also, after about a month of use, the wheels don’t glide as smoothly as they did at first, which can be a bit frustrating when rolling across the floor. Overall, it’s a solid basic chair for light use, but if you want something with a deeper recline or super smooth mobility long-term, you might want to consider other options. Still a reasonable purchase depending on your needs.

Had for just over 9 years now and still pretty solid
Color: Black
I ordered this chair back in December 2015 for our front office, and it's been moved to our back shop where we fabricate. We're not a gentle work space by any stretch of the imagination; we build stuff and it's messy, lots of tools etc. This chair has held up surprisingly well! The faux leather is delaminating almost entirely on the seat but honestly, I'd expect that for faux leather on something that is used daily. The seat pad, in my opinion, has gotten de-poofed. So it's not plush anymore but still usable. I've asked the guy that's using it if they want an upgrade/update and they said they like it and don't want to change it out just yet. That's saying something! The size is nice and wide. We've had a range of differently sized folks sit in the chair over the years and the seat was always comfortable (less now without so much seat poof), I was able to sit cross-legged and the whole chair felt sturdy then as it does now. All of the standards functions you'd want an office chair to do, it can still do: it goes up and down smoothly, it rolls just fine, it's still pivot-reclines comfortably and doesn't feel like it's going to topple. I like it!

Good enough
Color: Black
Comfortable chair. Easy to put together. Allen nuts aren't cut perfectly so sometimes hard to get the wrench in there. My biggest complaint, and I didn't even realize this until I sat down in it, the arm rests are not adjustable and they are a little short for my liking.
