Description

Kiloview Recorder System(Hardware version)The Kiloview Recorder System (Hardware Version) is officially embodied in the Kiloview CUBE R1. While Kiloview also distributes this system as independent Windows based software (the Kiloview NDI Recorder), the CUBE R1 is a dedicated turnkey, turnkey hardware appliance. It is engineered to capture, monitor, and store multiple high resolution IP video streams simultaneously without demanding a self built computer or separate software configuration.

The Kiloview Recorder System (Hardware Version) is officially embodied in the Kiloview CUBE R1. While Kiloview also distributes this system as independent Windows-based software (the Kiloview NDI Recorder), the CUBE R1 is a dedicated turnkey, turnkey hardware appliance. It is engineered to capture, monitor, and store multiple high-resolution IP video streams simultaneously without demanding a self-built computer or separate software configuration.

Housed in a rugged, half-width 2U rackmount frame, the hardware server acts as a centralized master recorder for live events, multicam studio broadcasts, and post-production environments.

Core Engineering and Operational Features

  • 9-Channel Concurrent Recording: The CUBE R1 can pull and record up to 9 independent NDI channels simultaneously. It is format-agnostic, seamlessly digesting High-Bandwidth Full NDI (SpeedHQ), NDI|HX2, and NDI|HX3 from any vendor at resolutions ranging up to 4K at 60 frames per second.

  • Frame-Aligned Iso-Recording (NTP Sync): To streamline post-production editing, the hardware features a microsecond-accurate Network Time Protocol (NTP) synchronization framework. When recording multiple isolated camera feeds (ISOs), the hardware embeds matching timestamps across all 9 video timelines. Editors can pull the files directly into a multi-cam timeline in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut with absolute, sample-accurate frame alignment.

  • Plug-and-Play Non-Stop Storage Array: The front face of the server chassis houses dual hot-swappable SSD drive slots backed by a physical safety lock switch. This hardware structure enables continuous, non-stop recording; when Drive A reaches maximum capacity, the internal pipeline instantly and seamlessly jumps to Drive B without dropping a single frame of live video. High-speed USB Type-C expansion ports on the rear also allow direct recordings to external storage pools.

  • Built-In 5.5-Inch Touch Display & Controls: Eliminating the mandatory need for an external keyboard, mouse, or client monitor, the chassis includes a vibrant 5.5-inch LCD touchscreen. Operators can control settings, view storage health, monitor system resource graphs, and trigger recordings with a single press. It is paired with a physical tactile control knob for precise, fluid frame-seeking during live playback reviews.

  • Simultaneous 4K Playback and Streaming: The processing core allows for simultaneous recording and playback. While capturing 9 feeds, a technician can play back 1 selected channel at up to 4Kp60 on an attached monitor via the physical HDMI 2.0 output. The system also permits variable scrub speeds (1/4x1/2x2x, 4x, 8x) and allows an operator to re-broadcast a live playback stream straight back out onto the network.

  • Operation Safety Lock Protection: To eliminate the catastrophic risk of a crew member accidentally terminating a live broadcast recording, the software interface features a strict System Lock setting. Once active, trying to pause or abort a recording triggers a double-confirmation password loop, completely safeguarding valuable broadcast files from accidental operational mistakes.

💡 Operational Engineering Tips for the CUBE R1 Hardware

The 10GbE SFP+ Fiber Uplink Rule: Do not try to interconnect the CUBE R1 using only its 1GbE RJ-45 connection for dense recording pipelines. High-Bandwidth Full NDI 1080p60 signals pull roughly 125 Mbps, while 4K60 streams demand upwards of 250 Mbps. If you populate the system to its full capacity with 9 channels of Full NDI, the combined network ingestion load will sit between 1.1 and 2.25 Gigabits per second. This will completely overwhelm a standard 1GbE line, leading to severe network dropouts, corrupted frames, and broken files. Always tie the server back to your core network switch using its high-capacity 10GbE SFP+ optical fiber connections.

  • Configuring Fixed-Length Recording Trims: When recording long-form live events spanning 4 to 8 hours, use the device's web console to configure the file trimming engine to split recordings by Fixed Time Length (e.g., creating a new file exactly every 60 minutes) or Fixed File Size (e.g., splitting files every 50 Gigabytes). The hardware automatically closes a file and opens the next one with zero frame overlap or gap. This keeps your post-production data chunks organized and prevents file corruption from ruining a massive multi-hour session if a unexpected power failure occurs.

  • Leveraging Custom Sub-Stream Previews: To protect the device's internal CPU/GPU from thermal stress while recording heavy, concurrent 4K streams, configure the Multiview Layout Grid (1/4/9 layout screens) to display the cameras' compressed NDI Sub-Streams (low-bitrate proxies) for visual confidence monitoring and VU level checking. The server will safely write the untouched, pristine Main Stream files directly to the hot-swap SSDs, but displaying the lower-resolution proxies on screen will drastically lower processing heat and maximize overall hardware stability.

They look just like the photo...fit and feel great!
Size: Large, Color: White/Gray (6 Pairs)
No complaints on these. They fit great, are supportive cotton, and look great. I was so used to the cheap Wal-Mart-bought fruit of the loom (think) ankle socks that I had no idea what I was missing. These are thicker, made better, and feel great. They even support the back of your foot from riding against your shoes. Because they are a bit thicker, they do make my feet hotter than before...but I've adjusted the shoe I wear to allow more breathability and don't wear them for long periods anyway. I live in Texas...we wear flip flops most of the year round. :)

Love these socks! They are absorptive, comfortable, supportive, attractive & great fitting!
Size: Medium, Color: White/Gray (6 Pairs)
These have been my go-to socks for almost 8 years now. I love that they are cotton, so they absorb sweat rather than give you that slimy feel you can get from polyester. They have great support in the mid foot and fit great due to the sizing. Just the right amount of padding and exhibiting an attractive low cut below the ankles. I highly recommend these socks. I hope this is helpful.
