1930s Ivory Ruffle Silk Dress (women's 2/4)Ethereal 1930s ivory ruffle silk dress in overall good vintage condition for its era. Made from beautifully soft and sheer silk with gorgeous lace and ruffle detail. Dress is designed to fit loosely per the style of the 30s. Skirt ruffles sway so gorgeously with movement. We recently had the torso of this dress restored with period correct silk. Has side snaps for closure. This dress presents beautifully, though not without flaw. It does show its age

Dress is designed to fit loosely per the style of the 30s. Skirt ruffles sway so gorgeously with movement. We recently had the torso of this dress restored with period-correct silk. Has side snaps for closure. This dress presents beautifully, though not without flaw. It does show its age in some areas. Some of the silk is beginning to deteriorate around the side snaps, and there are some dropped stitches in the skirt ruffles. No major staining or discoloration, but there are a few small spots. Though delicate, it's in wearable condition. Wear with care!

Entertaining, informative, without being overwhelming.

Got it for, basically, half-off standard retail. At that price, it's a fine addition to the WWII library. Some interesting information displayed in a mostly entertaining way. I get that battle maps are always a challenge (maps are static - battles are dynamic). This does a fairly adequate job - better than most battle maps - though far from groundbreaking. item arrived well packed - no issues with binding (as some others seem to report). Though the book overall is a bit "warped" and several of the maps are mis-printed or mis-cut as to make them unusable. 3 bad out of 300 - not horrible - again at the price I paid. If the subject interest you - I'd suggest getting - but not a "must have".

For the history buff or student - this is worth the purchase
Format: Hardcover
Detailed, individual maps and history on the battles of World War II. It isn’t too overwhelming for the student and is an enjoyable read for the history buff. Hardback so it will ensure lots of reading and reviews, durable pages too (not those thin, flimsy, easily tearable pages!) - this book will likely stand the test of our schooling years and beyond.
