The full sized panicles open creamy white and mature to a rich pink that persists until frost attracting butterflies. While it can tolerate full sun, its best blooms are in part sun and rich, moist well drained acidic soils. Also sold as PETITE Star. Hot Sauce Hydrangea is a dwarf deciduous shrub with a mounded habit and medium green foliage that turns a suble yellow-bronze in fall.  The full sized panicles open creamy white and mature to a rich pink that persists until frost attracting butterflies.  While it can tolerate full sun, its best blooms are in part sun and rich, moist well-drained acidic soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Medium Maintenance. Mulch soil to maintain moisture and overwinter.  If pruning is needed do so after flowering. Slight susceptibility to bud blight, wilt, leaf spot, and mildew.  Aphids are occasional problems.
