When not writing, Julia works in the counseling profession as a Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Therapist, specializing in Trauma.
Growing up, her escape was into a world of art, books and dreams. Writing has been both her solace and strength. The words, harmonizing lines between reality and fantasy, allowing her ink-stained vulnerability to spill onto a page. Julia strives to illuminate the complexity and beauty of life, inspiring and challenging conventional wisdom. She desires to have her poetry ignite the senses, giving a glimpse beyond the surface, into the hidden corners of the soul.
