Overview

Hooker Competition headers offer the best value in the high performance header market. Designed for the value-conscious buyer, Hooker Competition headers offer premium features at a very competitive price. Made of durable 16 gauge mild steel tubing, the Hooker Competition header design utilizes a long transition collector to reduce back pressure and increase exhaust flow. A perfect sealing surface is assured with the 5/16" machined flanges, with welded O-ring seals. Experience has proven that this flange size is ideal to maintain header integrity and be pliable enough to seal each exhaust port. Tubing is mandrel-bent to maintain metal strength and provide consistent tube diameter at radii to maximize performance. Hooker Competition headers have a standard finish that features a heat-cured, high-heat-resistant paint. Optionally, the famous Hooker Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating is available.

Features

  • Tuned-length primary tubes for street performance
  • Mandrel-bent tubing for smooth exhaust flow
  • Light weight & sturdy 16 gauge tubing
  • Long transition collector for decreased back pressure
  • 5/16" machined flanges for a perfect seal
  • Industry's best welds for durability
  • Designed for easy, trouble-free fit
  • All necessary hardware included for a complete installation

Fitment Notes

  • Breaking in an engine with ceramic coated headers WILL result in damage to the coating and will VOID all warranties.
  • Hooker recommends using cast iron exhaust manifolds or old headers during your engine break-in period to avoid damaging your coated damage.
  • The use of header wraps can cause the header tubes to crack or rust due to excessive heat and moisture build-up.
  • Hooker does not recommend the use of header wraps as this will void the warranty.
  • Hooker long tube headers do not come with header reducers.
  • Some factory heads do not have a bolt hole in the end. Holes must be drilled and tapped to ensure proper seal.

Very tight fit on 74mm Mobile 1 Filters
Color: Silver
It claims to fit "some" 74mm Mobil 1 filters. It's a fraction too small, but will work if you "force" the tool on the filter.

Works if you need help. Not a miracle in a bottle.
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
It has worked every time I've used this product. Won't fix a damage catalytic converter but will help you pass the test if your car almost passed.

Worked like a charm.
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
Used it as directed. Down to an eighth of a tank. Poured it in and added enough gas to get back to one half a tank. Wanted to get it mixed in really well. Immediately jumped on the interstate and ran 75 MPH for 40 miles. Stopped and filled the tank and when I restarted the engine, the light was off. Coincidence? Not a chance. Light had been on continuously for weeks. AutoZone said I needed a catalytic converter. Nope. One thing I found out the hard way. If your gas filler has a flap at the top, make sure it is easy to push aside. Mine had a little release button near the top that the filler hose would depress before the flap would release. Dumped the first bottle right on the ground. Twelve bucks wasted. No one to blame but me, I guess. Still a bargain, even at twice the price.
