Six Questions Your Paul Davis Restoration Franchise Financial Model Must Answer

We built this restoration business plan template using deep-dive research into the property recovery sector. The model comes pre-loaded with realistic assumptions like a $1,075,000 year-one revenue target and a 4% royalty structure, but you can defintely edit everything to match your specific market conditions. This financial model template for disaster restoration startup is designed to show you exactly how EBITDA can scale from $275,000 to $1,792,000 as your crew count grows.

What is the profitability trajectory?

The restoration franchise profitability analysis shows this unit hitting its break-even point almost immediately in January 2026, thanks to the high-margin nature of mitigation services. While year one is about stabilizing, you see a massive jump in EBITDA by year three as reconstruction services and mold remediation reach full scale.

Boost Bottom Line

  • Optimize technician billable hours
  • Reduce material waste protocols
  • Upsell reconstruction after mitigation
[dynamic_pic9]

What is the total capital required?

You will need to know how to estimate startup costs for a restoration franchise, which total roughly $530,000 to get the doors open. This covers the $65,000 franchise fee, $150,000 in leasehold improvements, and over $150,000 in specialized drying and extraction equipment, forming the core startup capital requirements for restoration franchise success.

Primary Capital Uses

  • Leasehold Improvements: $150,000
  • Drying/Mitigation Equipment: $150,000
  • Service Vehicles: $75,000
  • Initial Franchise Fee: $65,000
[dynamic_pic10]

What is the return on investment?

The model projects a 3-year payback period on your initial capital, which is solid for a disaster mitigation business. With an IRR of 7.95% and a year-five EBITDA margin north of 50%, the business valuation for franchises in this sector looks strong for multi-unit operators based on our franchise ROI calculation.

Key Return Metrics

  • Internal Rate of Return: 7.95%
  • Payback Period: 3 Years
  • Year 5 EBITDA: $1,792,000
[dynamic_pic11]

Where is the break-even point?

Calculating break-even point for restoration business units shows monthly break-even is achieved in the very first month of operation. The biggest lever here is your revenue forecasting model for restoration services, specifically water damage mitigation, which represents nearly 30% of your initial revenue mix and carries the best margins.

Accelerate Break-Even

  • Secure adjuster referrals early
  • Monitor fuel/vehicle overhead
  • Maintain tight labor scheduling
[dynamic_pic12]

What is the cash runway?

Your lowest cash point hits in June 2026 at $882,000, including your initial capital buffer. You need to watch the gap between finishing a job and receiving insurance payouts, as working capital can get trapped in accounts receivable, making a financial due diligence checklist for prospective franchisees essential during the ramp-up.

Protect Your Cash

  • Phase equipment purchases monthly
  • Use 30-day vendor terms
  • Aggressive AR collections process
[dynamic_pic13]

How do scenarios impact results?

In a high-growth scenario where revenue hits the $3,386,000 mark by year five, your fixed costs like the $8,500 rent become negligible. However, if labor costs spike or technician productivity drops, your year-1 margin of 25% could easily compress, which is why a detailed financial forecast for new franchise units and profit margin analysis for property restoration companies is critical.

Hit the High Case

  • Maximize 24/7 rapid response
  • Implement tech performance bonuses
  • Dominant local SEO execution

Love the dual sound design—squeaker inside plus a jingle bell! My pup is obsessed and plays with it for hours alone. The cute sneaker shape grabs their attention right away, helps kill boredom and reduces anxiety. Perfect for solo play and keeps them from messing up furniture. Great enrichment toys for daily use.

Great for freezing apple sauce, peanut butter, etc for a treat.
Size: Large (Pack of 1), Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Our dog has extreme separation anxiety. When ever he even thinks we are going to leave he barks and jumps in our face. He is a mini Aussie, so he can jump high. I have researched ways to help him not freak out so much when we leave. I read that giving him something like this with some yummy frozen in it like peanut butter, apple sauce, wet food, etc. so he relates us leaving to him getting a yummy treat. He still freaks out when we leave, but not as bad because he wants the kong but also wants to remind us he doesn’t approve of us leaving, lol. It’s Kong, so obviously very high quality. It’s pretty heavy. I wish there was an in between size, this is a little too big and the smaller size isn’t big enough. So his tongue can’t quite reach the end inside. He also plays with it when it’s not filled with treats. We have a few so one can be in the freezer while he has one. Thank goodness he is a dog that doesn’t destroy stuff when we are gone, just yells at us when we are leaving. After we are gone he just pouts. But this gives him something to do and keeps him busy. It takes him quite a while to finish what’s inside.
