The Autobiography of Fidel CastroAn audacious biography of the ex president of Cuba told in Castro s own outrageous, bombastic voice. Prize winning author and journalist Norberto Fuentes was once a revolutionary: a writer with privileged access to Fidel Castro s inner circle during some the most challenging years of the revolution. But in the late 1990s, as the regime began sending its oldest comrades to the firing squad, he became A Man Who Knew Too Much. Escaping a death sentence
An audacious biography of the ex-president of Cuba told in Castro s own outrageous, bombastic voice. Prize-winning author and journalist Norberto Fuentes was once a revolutionary: a writer with privileged access to Fidel Castro s inner circle during some the most challenging years of the revolution. But in the late 1990s, as the regime began sending its oldest comrades to the firing squad, he became A Man Who Knew Too Much. Escaping a death sentence and now living in exile, Fuentes has written a brilliant, satirical, and utterly captivating autobiography of the Cuban leader in Fidel s own arrogant and seductive language discussing everything from Castro s early sexual experiences in Biran to his true feelings about Che Guevara and his philosophy on murder, legacy, and state secrets. Critics have long admired Fuentes s writing; one U.S. article called him Norman Mailer s Cuban pen pal. Akin to Gertrude Stein s The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas, or Edmund Morris s Dutch, this wickedly entertaining, true-to-life masterpiece is as imaginative and outsized as Castro himself."Binding Type: Paperback

Love C+H
Format: Paperback
I got this, and all the other Calvin + Hobbes books for my dad, as he used to have a lot of them before my ex stepmother took them in their divorce a few years ago. I grew up stealing those books from him to read, and we had a lot of good memories around those books and reading them together. He loved them, and the comics are still as amazing as I remember them being <3

Never read it.
Got it for my son. He apparently likes it. I cannot believe I have to write a specific number of words for a review. Geesh.

Best Book About Comic Book Guy EVER
Format: Hardcover
You love the Simpsons!
You love Comic Book Guy!
And, well, to gain the best possible enjoyment of this book, you also love, or at least have a passing knowledge of, movies, science-fiction, pro wrestling (Rob Van Dam in ECW makes a cameo!), comics, video games, Dungeons & Dragons, and just general geek culture. And if you do, you'll LOVE this book. Sure, it seems to be the same gags just updated every few pages... but what are you expecting, Pride and Prejudice?
It's an illustrated book, it has Simpsons-esque humor, and it's an enjoyable read. Highly recommended.
