Each object includes a finder chart with a Telrad-style overlay, the filter suggestions for viewing it, and the Northern Hemisphere season when it is best placed for observation. In addition, both the original NGC description where available, and some background information for the object are included.
This book includes those objects that should be observable from locations in the midnorthern latitudes, although the last few may be difficult to dig out of the Southern horizons at many observing locations. There is substantial overlap with Volume 2, as many objects
are observable from the middle latitudes of both hemispheres.
