The first single, the insistent, chugging 'Lovelite' reached the top of the Billboard R&B Singles chart. Due to the success of 'Lovelite' Capitol released the second single form this album the up-tempo track titled 'Breakin' Together'. 'Go on And Cry' was the third single. But the title track 'Be My Lover' also became known as one of O'Bryan's better up-tempo songs.
