Environment
The anchor is designed for use in a Dry environment.

Head Style
The anchor is a Hex Washer Serrated head and is designed to allow the head to sit on top of the surface of the item being attached.

Hole Diameter/Bit DiameterThe anchor requires a 3/8" hole to be drilled in the base material (Concrete & Grout Filled CMU). The hole should be drilled with carbide tipped bit that meets ANSI standards and used in a hammer drill.

Driver Required
A 9/16" is required for driving the anchor into the base material.

The diameter of the anchor is 3/8".

Length Anchor
The length of the anchor is 6"

Thread Length
The length of the threads on the anchor is in length.

Minimum Embedment
The minimum anchor embedment into the concrete is . Therefore, the anchor must be installed so that a minimum of of the anchor is embedded into the concrete.

Maximum Fixture Thickness
The maximum fixture thickness or the maximum thickness of the material being fastened for a anchor is . This will ensure that the minimum embedment of will be met.

Fixture Hole Diameter
The hole in the fixture or material being fastened must be larger than the designated diameter of the anchor. The 3/8" diameter anchor requires the hole in the fixture to be 9/16".

Spacing between Anchors
Each anchor must be spaced a minimum distance of 3" from each other when measured center to center.

Edge Distance
It is very important not to install the anchor any closer than 1-3/4" from an unsupported edge of the concrete.

I wanted to educate myself on some of the issues that are presented in this book. If you're looking for just factual case-law and supreme court decisions this is not the book you're looking for. This book presents the cases in a story and gives a lot of detail about what went on in the lives of the people involved in these lawsuits outside of the courtroom. The only thing that I wish would have been talked about in greater detail would be a more in-depth look at the opinions and reasons from the justices that were not voting in favor of the plaintiffs.

Thankfully, women no longer have to pay more for retirement plans, and get lower payouts, than men. Amazing how many different, inventive the ways were in the 1960's to keep women out of jobs. Bless Title VII and the attorneys and clients who fought these battles; we stand on their shoulders. The saddest part is the update, at the end of the book showing how protections against gender discrimination in the workplace have weakened in recent years. In particular, it has become difficult, or nearly impossible, to prove that a hostile work environment exists so long as employers pay lip service to certain ideas and practices and hide what's really going on--which we working women KNOW still goes on, unfortunately.
