Working in conjunction with a separately available receiver, or within an established video network, the KanexPro NetworkAV H.264 HDMI over IP Transmitter can transmit HD video signals over Ethernet for display on a monitor, television, or projector. Using a H.264 compression, Full HD resolution can be maintained without bogging down the network. Since the video is transmitted over IP, standard networking equipment can be used to distribute video. The ability to distribute video from a single source to many displays through an Ethernet switch is great for digital signage and event-space coverage. Multimedia applications can serve video from a selection of sources to a single display using the simple front-panel interface. Other advantages of Ethernet are long cable runs up to 394', power delivery using PoE, and bidirectional IR and RS-232 control.
