AudioQuest Evergreen RCA to RCA Cable at Vinyl Sound Toronto Canada

The AudioQuest Evergreen RCA to RCA is an analog interconnect from AudioQuest (Irvine, California, USA), available at Vinyl Sound in Toronto, Canada. Designed to connect CD players, DACs, streamers, preamplifiers, phono stages, and integrated amplifiers via standard RCA connectors, the Evergreen RCA features Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors, a Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System (NDS), and double-balanced asymmetrical geometry. Foamed-Polyethylene insulation and gold-plated plugs complete an RCA interconnect that applies AudioQuest's refined conductor and noise-management philosophy to a versatile, everyday stereo analog connection.

Perfect-Surface Copper+ Conductors and Double-Balanced Asymmetrical Geometry

The AudioQuest Evergreen RCA uses Perfect-Surface Copper+ conductors, a proprietary AudioQuest conductor refinement that produces an exceptionally smooth surface on the copper conductor to minimize the grain-boundary discontinuities and surface irregularities that distort high-frequency signal components and introduce noise into the analog audio path. PSC+ represents a step above standard Perfect-Surface Copper in surface refinement, reducing the distortion caused by the interaction between the signal and the conductor surface at a level that benefits both low-level musical detail and high-frequency transient accuracy. Double-balanced asymmetrical geometry controls the spatial relationship between signal and ground conductors throughout the cable, maintaining consistent impedance and reducing noise pickup along the full cable length for both stereo channels simultaneously.

Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System and Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation

The Evergreen RCA's Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System prevents captured RFI from modulating the cable's ground reference and introducing distortion into the analog signal. A conventional single-layer cable shield absorbs ambient RF interference and drains it directly to the component ground, creating ground-plane instability that affects the entire signal path. The Metal-Layer NDS on the Evergreen interposes an additional metal layer configured to dissipate RF energy before it reaches the ground conductor, keeping the reference plane stable and the noise floor low between connected components. Foamed-Polyethylene insulation surrounds the PSC+ conductors with a low-density, low-dielectric-constant material that minimizes the dielectric energy storage responsible for phase shift and dynamic compression, preserving the transient accuracy and natural tonal balance of the analog signal passing through the cable.

Key Features

  • Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) Conductors: Exceptionally smooth copper surface minimizes grain-boundary distortion and surface irregularities that degrade high-frequency signal components and low-level musical detail.
  • Double-Balanced Asymmetrical Geometry: Controlled conductor arrangement maintains consistent impedance and reduces noise susceptibility across both stereo channels along the full cable length.
  • Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation: Low-density FP insulation minimizes dielectric energy storage around the PSC+ conductors, preserving transient accuracy and dynamic contrast in the analog signal.
  • Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System (NDS): Additional metal layer dissipates captured RFI before it reaches the ground reference, preventing the ground-plane modulation caused by conventional single-layer shield designs.
  • Gold-Plated RCA Plugs: Gold plating resists corrosion and oxidation at both connection points for reliable, long-term contact quality across the stereo pair.
  • Stereo RCA Pair Configuration: Standard dual RCA interconnect for left and right channel connections between any two stereo audio components.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the AudioQuest Evergreen RCA to RCA cable?

The AudioQuest Evergreen RCA to RCA is a stereo analog interconnect built with Perfect-Surface Copper+ conductors, Foamed-Polyethylene insulation, a Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation System, double-balanced asymmetrical geometry, and gold-plated RCA plugs. It connects any two audio components with standard RCA analog outputs and inputs, including CD players, DACs, streamers, preamplifiers, integrated amplifiers, and phono stages. The Evergreen RCA is available at Vinyl Sound in Toronto, Canada.

How does the AudioQuest Evergreen RCA compare to the AudioQuest Golden Gate or Mackenzie RCA cables?

The AudioQuest Evergreen RCA sits at the entry point of the AudioQuest RCA interconnect range using PSC+ conductors and a Metal-Layer NDS. The Golden Gate steps up with a more refined noise-dissipation configuration and solid conductor geometry better suited to higher-resolution source components. The Mackenzie advances further with FEP Air-Tube insulation and a more sophisticated shield architecture for systems where low-level detail retrieval and noise floor are higher priorities. Compared to competitors such as the Kimber Kable PBJ and WireWorld Oasis 8, the Evergreen RCA's PSC+ conductors and Metal-Layer NDS deliver a technically coherent approach to conductor surface quality and ground-reference noise management at its level.

What audio components can the AudioQuest Evergreen RCA connect?

The AudioQuest Evergreen RCA connects any two audio components with standard RCA analog outputs and inputs, including CD players, network streamers, DACs, preamplifiers, integrated amplifiers, AV receivers, phono stages, turntables with built-in phono stages, tape decks, and headphone amplifiers with RCA outputs. It is sold as a stereo pair for simultaneous left and right channel connections. For turntable tonearm to phono stage connections that require a dedicated ground wire, AudioQuest's phono-specific interconnects such as the Golden Gate or Mackenzie with integrated ground wire are the more appropriate choice.

What is Perfect-Surface Copper+ and how does it differ from standard copper?

Perfect-Surface Copper+ is AudioQuest's highest-refinement copper conductor specification, produced through a proprietary drawing and polishing process that creates an exceptionally smooth conductor surface with minimal grain-boundary irregularities. Standard copper conductors, including oxygen-free copper, have microscopic surface imperfections and grain boundaries along their length where the crystalline structure of the metal changes. These discontinuities distort the audio signal, particularly at high frequencies where the skin effect concentrates signal propagation at the conductor surface. PSC+ minimizes these surface imperfections to a greater degree than standard PSC, reducing the distortion and noise they introduce into the analog signal path.

Does the AudioQuest Evergreen RCA work with a turntable?

The AudioQuest Evergreen RCA can be used between a phono stage output and an integrated amplifier or preamplifier input, as this is a standard line-level RCA connection. For the connection between a turntable tonearm and a phono stage input, a dedicated phono interconnect with an integrated ground wire is required, which the Evergreen RCA does not include. AudioQuest's Golden Gate, Mackenzie, and Angel phono cables are designed specifically for tonearm-to-phono-stage connections with the appropriate ground wire and lower-capacitance construction suited to moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridge loads.

Where can I buy the AudioQuest Evergreen RCA cable in Toronto or Canada?

The AudioQuest Evergreen RCA to RCA cable is available at Vinyl Sound, an authorized AudioQuest dealer in Toronto, Canada. Vinyl Sound carries the full AudioQuest analog interconnect lineup in-store and online, with complete manufacturer warranty support for Canadian customers.

Why does Foamed-Polyethylene insulation matter in an RCA interconnect?

Foamed-Polyethylene insulation reduces the density of the insulation material surrounding the signal conductor, which lowers its dielectric constant and minimizes the amount of signal energy the insulation absorbs and releases. In a solid insulation cable, the dielectric stores energy from the audio signal and releases it in a frequency-dependent, non-linear manner that causes phase shift and dynamic compression across the audible bandwidth. Foamed-PE's lower density reduces this dielectric effect, preserving the natural transient sharpness and dynamic contrast of the source signal more accurately than standard solid PVC or polyethylene insulation designs.

Excellent early math book
Format: Paperback
I found this book on a recommended Early Math reading list posted on the PBS Parents website. Since there are no words in this book, there is nothing to actually read to your child. But it is likely one of the longest 12 page books I've read. And it is by far the most significant number book my 3 year old has read. Anno uses a town to depict and define numbers 0-12, the seasons, and the months of the year. The seasons and months are recognizeable, but not the focus like the numbers are. For the number 0, you see a blank landscape with a small river. When the child turns the page, he sees a large number 1 on the right side of the book and in the landscape one lone building, one tree, one sun, one snowman.... There is also a set of blocks on the left side of the book, with one block colored in. Thus, the child can see the number 1 represented as a numeral, as a block (of a set of 10), and as an object (one building, one tree, one person). As you turn the pages and the numbers increase, a village forms. The final page is the number 12 -- a full village at Christmas time, complete with 12 reindeer in the sky. As a parent, I enjoy having my daughter "read" to me. But I am most amazed by how the book has helped her to grasp the concept of numbers. As she explained, "0, Mommy. Because there's nothing there."

Great way to remove dry skin while not being abrasive
Style: Bath & Body
One side of the scrubber is a softer cloth, the other is a more abrasive cloth. There is a sponge divider between the two. This is great to use during the dry days of winter when my skin becomes dryer and more scaly. The soft side is for my face, of course. The ribbon band across the back lets me slide my hand in and get a bit more leverage and to hold on to the scrubber. Much kinder to my skin than a loofah. I wash the Scrubber with the towels so it is always clean.

A Self-Care Essential
Style: Bath & Body
I love these scrubbies! They’re a good size, and durable. One side is soft, and the other exfoliates. It has a little loop on top to hang it up. They are a bit pricey though.
