Nach seiner Rückkehr erhält er durch seinen Onkel und dessen kommunistische Weltanschauung einen anderen Blick auf seinen Arbeitgeber. Sein dargestellter Lebensweg vom Arbeiter bei Krupp bis zum Generaldirektor des Magdeburger Ernst-Thälmann-Werkes spiegelt die gesellschaftlichen Umbrüche in Deutschland und letztlich den Sieg der Arbeiterklasse wider.
