Finkel ist ein heißblütiger junger Mann aus dem Volk der Elfen aus Wintherskog im Norden, einem schaurigen Ort, an dem seine pyrotechnischen magischen Fähigkeiten viel mehr geschätzt wurden als in Grimheim. Zwar sehen die Ältesten viel Potenzial in ihren Kräften, aber seine Rücksichtslosigkeit und mangelnde Selbstbeherrschung sind ein schlechtes Omen …
