Bevölkerungsexplosion, Klimawandel, Umweltvergiftung, Aufbruch in den Weltraum, das waren die bislang markantesten Symbole für diese Entwicklung.Doch in viel stärkerem Ausmaß werden es die Erfolge der Gen- und Biotechnologie sein, die diesen Übergang in eine neue Epoche markieren. Der Mensch hat sich zum Schöpfer aufgeschwungen. Nicht mehr nur unsere Umwelt verändern wir, sondern die Grundlagen des Lebens, auch unseres eigenen Lebens. Wir wissen zwar noch kaum wie es funktioniert, aber schon verändern wir ganze Genome, konstruieren neue Organismen, klonen und erschaffen neues Leben. Wie wird diese neue Natur, die der Mensch erschaffen will, aussehen?

As with all stuffed toys, supervision is needed.
I have a 6 month old standard size Golden Doodle who has gone through several raccoon toys. He loves their tails and to make them squeak. He knows the word raccoon, so when the last one “died”, I had to get another. This one is well made and has a magnificent tail. It did not take long, however, for Marvin to amputate two of the raccoon’s feet and pull the stuffing out. Luckily, I was able to get it from him before he swallowed any, and was able to sew up the injuries and return it to him for another round of play. I do not expect more from a stuffed toy, but I do not leave my dog alone with one and accept that supervision is always necessary. This raccoon is charming and when it “dies” I will probably buy it again. Five stars!

My Cardigan Corgi loves this toy!
My 33-lb. Cardigan Corgi loved her raccoon toy so much that she finally tore off its tail and I had to get her another one. Good toy for a medium-sized doggo.
