Nase:
Bei diesem Tempranillo wird der zurückhaltende und feine Holzeinsatz spürbar, der von Beginn an für eine warme, leicht zimtige und an Muskat erinnernde Note in der reifen roten Frucht sorgt. Walderdbeerkompott, einige Rote Johannisbeeren, Himbeeren und einige Schwarzkirschen prägen die Frucht, die von süßem Tabak, etwas Leder und getrockneten Kräutern begleitet wird.

Gaumen:
Am Gaumen wird das Holz präsenter als bei den anderen Einzellagen. Doch auch hier wirkt es elegant, tragend, tief und fein. Das Tannin dieses Weines kleidet den Gaumen noch leicht adstringierend, aber schon sehr feinkörnig aus. Die Säure zeugt vom richtigen Lesezeitpunkt in der recht hoch gelegenen Parzelle. Dies ist ein dunkelfruchtiger Wein von reifen Beeren mit einer sinnlichen Anmutung und Finesse sowie einer kühlen Ader, die den Rioja sehr komplett und einladend wirken lässt.
