Nase
Das noch so junge Große Gewächs aus dem Frauenberg öffnet sich mit expressiven Noten von Rauch und Asche, zerstoßenem Kalk und nassen Kieseln, Flechten und Küchenkräutern. Hinzu kommen Noten von Hopfen und Apfelschalen, etwas Ingwer und Tabak. Frucht ist hier gerade einmal in Form von Kumquats samt Schale wahrzunehmen.

Mund
Am Gaumen präsentiert sich der Frauenberg mächtig mit viel Druck und einer üppigen Säure, die für eine lange Reifeperiode wie geschaffen wirkt. Saftig ist der Wein, dunkeltonig in der Gesteinswürze, zitrisch hell in der Frucht und pikant im langen Finale. Dabei sorgen Extrakt, Phenolik und die pulsierende Mineralik für markante Fixpunkte am Gaumen. Noch jung und im Werden begriffen, sollte man dem Wein viel Luft und Zeit gönnen.
