Nase: 

Der 2023 Bourgogne Côtes d’Or blanc Vieilles Vignes von Remi Jobard ist in der Nase enorm facettenreich und birst quasi vor Aromenfülle. Kühles, knackiges Kernobst wie Äpfel und Nashi-Birnen mischen sich mit feinen zitrischen Noten, saliner Mineralik und würzig-herben Kräutern. Zitronenblüte, Austernschalen und nasse Tafelkreide oszillieren zwischen Sauerampfer und Kerbel.

Mund:

Druckvoll mit großer Vibration im Antrunk ist er vom ersten Schluck an präsent: mit anständigem Bass am Gaumen wird er aromatisch befeuert vom satten Extrakt, der die Frucht der Nase spiegelt, unterlegt von ätherischen Noten nach Anis und Estragon. Die profunde Mineralik spielt der reifen Säure und dem zarten Gerbstoff in die Hände und sorgt für geradezu überflüssigen Trinkzug.

Info zum Wein:

Rémi Jobard ist ein anerkannter New-Schooler in Meursault. Seit rund 30 Jahren wird ausschließlich organisch gedüngt, und 2008 folgte die Zertifizierung für biologische Bewirtschaftung. Leitmotiv bei Jobard sind die kalkhaltigen Böden Meursaults, die er durch behutsamen Ausbau zum Singen bringen möchte. Statt kleiner 228-Liter-Barrique-Fässer verwendet Jobard Stockinger-Fuder mit 600 Litern Fassungsvermögen. Das Holz wird nicht um des Holzes Willen eingesetzt, sondern wegen des langsamen Sauerstoffaustausches. Dieser Ausbau resultiert in kristallin geschliffenen Weinen mit tiefgründiger Mineralik und feinem Schmelz.

Die Kategorie Bourgogne Côte d’Or ist eine jüngst eingeführte, neue Appellationsbezeichnung. Sie begrenzt die Produktionszone für diese Weine auf das Kerngebiet der Côte d’Or. Die Lagen für diesen Wein stammen allesamt aus an Meursault angrenzenden Lagen, zwei davon liegen direkt unterhalb der 1er Cru Lage Charmes. Der Late Release reifte zwei zusätzliche Jahre in Jobards Keller.

My Doberman (80 pounds in 7 months) puppy absolutely loved this ball. He loves anything noise making so this ball was perfect. Unfortunately, about 2 hours of nonstop play the cover was falling apart. There was no saving in. My pup is rough on toys and this one couldn’t handle it. I let him play without the cover for a little bit but the plastic is VERY hard. I’m not sure what type of plastic it is, but it’s very hard, no your average plastic. It was clunking around and banging into everything possible. I would love to give it more stars as it might have been perfect for other dogs, or maybe I just got a dud. But having to take the ball away from him was almost heart breaking. Those sad puppy dog ever and him looking everywhere for it. Barking nonstop because, well he want his ball….and being a puppy he is still learning. Had the cover held up for even 24 hours it would have been great. So I have a sad puppy and a lighter pocketbook. It was fun while it lasted.

This ball was delivered on March 7. It was fun while it lasted, but Today, less than one week later, the squeaker which was the unique fun part of this ball, is dead. The ball is still intact, the soft cover still on it, so our corgi never got to the squeaker - it just stopped making sound. Given the point of this ball is to engage a dog to chase after like it was squealing prey, the death of the squeaker is very disappointing.
