ESX Quantum Serie

Für gute Subwoofer-Systeme werden immer kräftige Zusatz-Verstärker benötigt. Wem die Installation eines externen Verstärkers zu aufwendig ist oder keinen Platz hat, greift zu Aktivvarianten, die bereits werksseitig verbaute Verstärker haben. Doch Vorsicht, oft werden aus Kostengründen - auf den ersten Blick für Laien nur schwer erkennbar - leistungsmäßig eher schwache oder veraltete analoge Endstufen eingebaut. Manches Mal sind sogar einfachste 12 Volt Brückenchips zu finden, die nicht mehr leisten als einfache Autoradios. ESX geht hier einen anderen Weg und integriert hoch moderne Class D Verstärker-Module, die bis zu 400 Watt/RMS Ausgangsleistung mobilisieren können. So bestückt liefern die sehr kompakten QUANTUM QXB Aktiv-Subwoofer-Systeme extrem hohe Leistungen und Basspegel.

ESX verwendet dafür hochwertige und preisgekrönte POWER4 Aktivmodule, welche mit bis zu 84% Wirkungsgrad auch besonders effizient sind. Dank modernster Class D Schaltung und EPS PRO sind diese Module sogar für den Anschluss an ganz moderne Fahrzeuge vorbereitet. Mit der beiliegenden Kabel-Fernbedienung lassen sich die Bässe vom Fahrersitz aus einstellen.

Auch in die Aktiv-Varianten der QUANTUM QXB Subwoofer-Systeme hat ESX jeweils 4 Montagefüße beigepackt, die bei Bedarf auf die Frontseite geschraubt werden. So können beide Modelle ohne großen Aufwand in „Downfire-Subs“ konvertiert werden. Diese mit dem Woofer nach unten abstrahlenden Boxen eignen sich besonders gut z.B. für die Installation in doppelten Kofferraumböden.

OK for the price, but overall comfort is avergae

Easy to put together, color (mustard) accurate to images, and while I understand this is not a high-end chair, I feel like it still needs to be rated for its quality. Pros: the seat cushions are fairly comfortable and it rolls well. Adjustable footrest is easy enough and mostly sturdy. Cons: For a tall office chair, it doesn't go up high enough. I actually had to lower my standing desk to sit at it, which then isn't where I want it when I'm standing now. It's also a bit wobbly. The seat area's attachment to the post isn't as solid as it should be for a tall chair, so while sitting, it does tend to lean/slope forward and wobble side to side. The lumbar support is not adjustable, so I'm not even really sure what it does. And the armrests are not very comfortable to use. Since they are hard plastic, they are just a bit too rigid to rely on for any comfort. They are basically there to hold on to when you're getting out of the chair.
