Der Hautes-Mottes Grand Cru Extra Brut von Stéphane Regnault ist eine reine Chardonnay-Cuvée mit Basisjahr 2016. Der Wein verbindet mineralische Tiefe mit feiner Cremigkeit und spiegelt das Terroir südlich von Le Mesnil-sur-Oger präzise wider.

Weinberg und Terroir

Das Hautes-Mottes-Terroir liegt südlich des Dorfes Le Mesnil, auf der anderen Seite der Eisenbahnlinie. Der Name bedeutet „hoher Hügel“ und verweist auf die ungewöhnlichen Kalkadern, die in die Ebene hineinragen. Die Lage besitzt eine Südausrichtung und bietet optimale Reifebedingungen für Chardonnay.

Viticulture & Biodynamie

Die Reben stammen zur Hälfte aus den 1950er Jahren und zur Hälfte aus den 1980er Jahren. Regnault arbeitet streng biodynamisch, ohne synthetische Pestizide. Die Weinbergsarbeit richtet sich nach dem Mondzyklus und erfolgt mit pflanzlichen Präparaten wie Baldrian, Brennnessel, Schachtelhalm und Schafgarbe.

Our Lab LOVES everything about this thing! Recommend getting extra durable balls as the 1 included fell apart in 1 hour. I have a very energetic Lab retriever that we have to force to stop playing ball so he does not overheat. That & the force with which you can throw this ball did not help keeping it from splitting it in 2 in less than 1 hour. This is worth the money for the extra throwing power & distance but do invest in the ULTRA strong ball for dogs like retrievers! Also, be sure to order the correct SIZE OF BALL, specific to each different size of throwing wand. My fav thing about this item is #1 the joy my dog gets from the new challenge of racing to catch longer throws, & #2 I don't have to get my hands covered in dog slobber!! I recommend using the KONG Extreme Dog Toy

Helpful for throwing as much as my dog wants to fetch. I actually had to get a cortisone injection in my shoulder a few months after getting my dog - never had a dog with this much energy before! The Chuckit really helps. Downside: The ball that comes with it is larger than a tennis ball, so may be too much for smaller doge. I can't imagine my sister-in-law's french bulldog carrying it! Also, in our house it gets destroyed within minutes, as my dog is a strong chewer. For this situation, I recommend using the KONG Extreme Dog Toy, Black, size Large. This is shaped sort of like a snowman, which means it bounces unpredictably at times. My dog eventually chews the "head" off of this toy, but the remaining 2/3 still fits in the Chuckit (and is actually easier to throw with the "head" missing!). One caveat: the KONG is significantly heavier than the ball included with the Chuckit, so be aware of that... Also, we ordered our first Chickit in October 2015, then needed to replace it in May of 2017, as it broke. I think the plastic became brittle over that time, as we left it out in the sun & rain in Florida. Since it is cheap to replace, that's not a big deal. (We ordered three Kong toys over that same period of time!) To summarize, it's a very helpful tool to get the ball further, faster, with less strain, than without it. Knowing there are alternatives to the included ball for heavy chewers makes it worthwhile.
